ERIC STUMACHER TO PERFORM AND CONDUCT MOZART’S PIANO CONCERTO IN A, K 488 with KEENE CHAMBER ORCHESTRA FEB 7

REMAINDER OF PROGRAM CONTAINS DVORAK SLAVONIC DANCE AND BRAHMS SYMPHONY NO. 4

Keene Chamber Orchestra Music Director, Conductor, and Pianist Eric Stumacher will conduct a special concert of the Keene Chamber Orchestra at the Keene Colonial Theatre on Sunday, February 7, 2010, at 4 PM.

This concert is Concert II of KCO’s 2009-10 Keene Colonial Theatre series.

The program features Dvorak’s energetic and good-natured Slavonic Dance, Op. 72 #2, Mozart’s sublime Piano Concerto in A, K. 488, with Stumacher as piano soloist, and Brahms’ epic and shimmering Symphony No. 4.

Says Eric Stumacher: “This will be an amazing and enjoyable concert for audience members of all ages. No worries about the Super Bowl: we will be done in plenty of time for kick-off. And besides, the Patriots are not even in the Super Bowl this year!”

The Keene Chamber Orchestra, in its nineteenth season, continues to gain fame as “one of New Hampshire’s cultural treasures” and “one of the best ticket values in town.” KCO concerts continue to inspire such accolades as “The best orchestra experience we have ever had!”, and KCO concerts are renowned for welcoming quiet audience members of all ages.

Quiet children are admitted for free if accompanied by an adult.

The Keene Chamber Orchestra is comprised of professional and talented student musicians of all ages, from the the Greater Keene, Monadnock, and New England regions.
