John Steinmetz' thoughts about KCO May 11

I'm very excited about the Keene Chamber Orchestra's performance of my new bassoon concerto. This project is in many ways a flowering of years of friendship with conductor Eric Stumacher and with bassoonist Joy Flemming, and both of them offered crucial help and encouragement to bring this music into being. What a pleasure to hear my music performed by musicians of such skill and soulfulness!
